Warm Coats Available for Pleasant Hill Students

By Connie Whitlock

Temperatures are about to fall, and soon we’ll all be digging through our closets for that warm, cozy coat. The Pleasant Hill R-III School District wants to make sure every student has access to that same warmth this winter.

The coat drive is being organized through the local Bright Futures program, whose mission is to help ensure students have what they need for a successful journey through their education.

Organizers are now working to get the word out to parents and guardians so families who could benefit from the program know that help is available.

If your student does not have a warm winter coat, the district, with sponsorship from Country Club Bank, a division of FNBO, is offering help.

Parents or guardians who would like to participate should email mhunter@phr3.org by September 23 and include the student’s first and last name, grade and coat size.

The district’s message to families is simple: “If your student does not have a warm coat for the upcoming winter season, we are here to help!”
